It's all just gerrymandering and voter suppression. To see article after article come out flaunting poll numbers and approval ratings is painful. The Republicans control 2/3rd of the State Houses in the country. They are re-drawing districts right now. They will easily take the house with a minority of the votes if no new legislation is made to stop them.

On a fair and even playing field your point would be right. The fact that it's hard to even point out how much influence the anti-democratic forces will have on 2022 scares me more than I can even describe.
